N.Y. GOP Leaders Tell Pirro to Drop Out (NY Senate race)
ALBANY, N.Y. Dec 12, 2005 — New York's Republican Party leaders recommended Monday that Jeanine Pirro abandon her struggling campaign to challenge Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and instead run for state attorney general.

State GOP Chairman Stephen Minarik said no vote was taken but that was the consensus of the county leaders. Rockland County Chairman Vincent Reda said the support for a Pirro switch was "overwhelming."

...snip...

Also, the state's county chairmen voted in favor of having former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld run for governor in his native New York, Minarik said.

Weld and former state Assembly Minority Leader John Faso pressed for the GOP's county chairmen to take the vote.

1. WHY? Let her spend her money!!!
I've only seen her speak twice and she screwed up both of them, so why should we want her to quit? She's obviously not going to win, and I'd rather see her lose the Senate race and not take the chance that she might win the AG one.

2. Pirro's press conference
that was featured on the Daily Show was hysterical. She started out by attempting to say something negative about Hillary and couldn't find her notes. She couldn't improvize and just fumbled around hmming and hawing. If she couldn't articulate her problems with Hillary without her script there must not be that much wrong with Hillary.

I wonder how she handled trial situations when she was hit with a surprise in the courtroom. Did she hm and haw around? Doesn't make for a good prosecutor to not be able to think on your feet.

3. Yea, I remember that. Missing page 10 I think.
I'm going to make a guess and say she's much better in the court room than she is on the stump.

Gofd forbid that she would ever get to be a Senator and have to answer questions from the Press!!!!!!

5. Maybe they should vote to not run any candidates, and save their money.

Then, when Hillary kicks Rudy's ass, it'll take him out of the 08' Presidential race.

7. You know, the way the GOP is abandoning women
You might almost think they don't care very much about more than half the population. They're encouraging Pirro to drop out, spreading rumors about deficient fund-raising by Harris in Florida, hoping to get her to drop out. If those two quit, the number of Republican women running for Senate seats will be zero. None. Zip-a-dee-doo-dah.

Why should women vote Republican?

9. She thinks she's a senator like the boy king thinks he's president.
Honestly, which one is harder to believe?
