"NBC Nightly News" anchor Brian Williams has exclusive interview with Bush
http://nbcumv.com/release_detail.nbc/news-20051209000000-nbcnightlynewsa.html

"NBC Nightly News" anchor and managing editor Brian Williams has an exclusive interview with President George W. Bush on Monday, December 12, with expanded coverage to air on "Nightly News," and across all NBC News platforms.

Williams will begin his day with President Bush in the Oval Office before boarding Air Force One and will travel with the president to an event in Philadelphia. He will conduct a formal interview en route to Philadelphia, and they will spend additional time together before and after the president's speech on Iraq. The in-depth interview will include such topics as the war in Iraq, the president's response to Hurricane Katrina and the economy.

NBC's Go-To Guy
While Fox News Channel remains the favorite network of Republican lawmakers, NBC's new anchor, Brian Williams, is the one turning GOP heads. Message guru and former MSNBC contributor Frank Luntz says in a confidential memo to Hill leaders that Williams has emerged as the "go-to network anchor" because of his brains and "lack of detectable ideological bias." Luntz credits NBC Executive Producer Steve Capus for "a flawless transition to a new generation of news anchor." Still, Fox and CNN lead the nets when it comes to GOP loyalty.

We know who Frank "Pudge" Luntz is. What he is saying is that Brian is one of the rare SMART ones, who does not wear his ideology on his sleeve. There is a stereotype about the GOP, that they all love NASCAR and guns, but I don't believe that ALL people who like those things are GOP. But Brian does like NASCAR and guns, and, he got this odd endorsement of sorts from one of the biggest GOP tools in the shed. Case closed, AFAIAC....

But hey, maybe he will grow a set and do a tough interview...unlike the fawning one Russert did, with his massive frame crushed into a tiny chair, crouching before the Laird, with his notes on his knee...

Luntz probably WOULD want to bite you, after smearing you with a fattening breakfast spread. That guy has been blowing up like a balloon over the past few years. He seems like a rather frustrated little toady, the putz.

Edit, think I got the link fixed, thanks for the heads up.

Ya' suppose Williams thinks W is going to give him honest answers????? Wouldn't it be great if Williams would give up his seat to Mike Wallace just as the plane is ready to take off? THEN we might get a real interview.

9. No Wonder He Was Kissing Up The Other Day
Williams made some positive comment about Shrub only a couple of days ago. I can't recall what it was, but this explains it all. He's now firmly in the grasp of the administration and the repubs, and they plan to use his new position as nbc nightly news anchor.

11. I was trying to recall that comment too
and reading this figured here is his reward.

It wasn't news, it wasn't facts, it was his opinion and it was bush loving.

Made me sick, why is a news anchor giving his opinion (though I think it was during an interview, not during the news)...and I felt bad that I vaguely liked him when he was on MSNBC.

12. Yes, Williams Condoned Pentagon Marketing
When asked by Howard Kurtz, Brian Williams said it was okay for admin to pay journalists to present its viewpoint and also blessed the politicisation of PBS. See link. Williams is the most insidious type of whore. Occassionally he takes exception to the admin, but comes home to roost on the big stuff. Reminds me in a way of Woodward.

27. You can bet yo ass
that while in this talk, Williams will report the lastest wall street journal nbc poll and have bush about 44% and Williams will be glowing and smiling wide and gushing so much praise on this sorry excuse for a president... Hell, we all should have seen these polls with higher numbers coming right here towards the end of the year....Just a lil clue...watch fox news when they give a poll if the others will soon follow suit... Case in point 2 weeks ago fox finally had bush down in the mid to high 30's and was the last news org. to issue their poll, but this time they were the first to give their new poll of bush being at 42%...next day cbs 40...abc 42.... and all others are following suit...

Nothing But Constant Republican Ass Kissing 24/7.

I've given up on the so-called Mainstream Presstitutes. Why don't they just come out and tell the truth that they are all asskissers who worship the Golden Elephant.

In fact I have a new term for them, since they are ALL controlled by the Conservative Corporate Controlled Press, they should be called the CCCP. And they lie any lie for the state just like TASS and Izvestia

In fact the only difference between the USSR and Jesusland is one word.

The USSR used Marx

Jesusland uses Jesus

Both in the same context

He's trying the 'charm offensive' right now. he's trying the 'fireside chat' suggestion that some idiot made to him, to make him likable again. Next the asshole will be on Dancing With The Stars, and a cameo on Desperate Housewives, anything to raise his ratings. The ratings piss him off beyond belief. He's so petty. I can actually picture him reading DU sometimes.. between naps and video games... and swearing at all of us and giving us vile nicknames. You KNOW he cruises this place... he just has to.. morbid curiousity and massive ego.
