Major Flaw Found In Cisco IOS Devices (internet routers) - slashdot
Thursday July 17
CERT has released an advisory regarding a serious flaw in all Cisco routers and switches which run IOS and process IPv4 packets (i.e. pretty much everything), which causes the device to stop processing inbound packets, and so: 'The device must be rebooted to clear the input queue on the interface, and will not reload without user intervention.' 4. Interesting, isn't it ...
Cisco announces a gaping security hole, and it's treated "ho hum" on DU.

Microsoft announces another security hole, and the "bash MS at every opportunity" DU crowd works themselves into an orgasmic frenzy of hate-spew.

Personally, I am MUCH more concerned about router vulnerability, as my PC is always patched and behind two firewalls. The routers are just "out there".
