Task Force Baghdad Soldier killed

BAGHDAD, Iraq — A Task Force Baghdad Soldier was killed when a convoy struck an improvised explosive device in east Baghdad shortly after 10 a.m. Dec. 8.

The name of the Soldier is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The incident is under investigation.

1. Just like Afganistan, can't even keep the capitol city of the country

under control. Both 'wars' lost due to incompetence, ignorance, and greed.

edit: To say how sad it is for some family to lose a loved one, but words are empty, and there's nothing the we can do to stop this unnecessary loss of life (both ours and the Iraqis). The party in power seems to be loving it. And the democrats, with an exception of a few brave and honorable members, appear to be willing to be accomplices in the crime.

there WAS a chance of cleaning up Afghanistan but SOMEONE took their eye off the ball and removed forces fighting in Afghanistan and sent them to Iraq to remove a brutal dictator who gassed his own people, had or was nearing completion of NOOK-U-LER weapons, had tons and tons of biological and chemical weapons and was actively training Al Qaeda terrorists. The rest, as they say, is history. Afghanistan had a chance at one time to be a success story, but the writer of that story had a different agenda and it's fair to say that he fucked up BOTH stories because of that misplaced agenda.

The only thing I was TOTALLY WRONG ON----- was that the "troops" wouldn't torture, kill and maim the civilian inhabitants as they did and still are doing.

Thereby turning THEMSELVES into THUGS and WAR CRIMINALS.
