Hayworth relents, will join Bush

Rep. J.D. Hayworth will appear with President Bush on the campaign trail after all. Less than a month ago, Hayworth, RAriz., said on a national radio talk show that he didn’t want Bush to campaign for him "at this time," adding later that his comments were a honest reflection of the president’s slipping popularity.

A political poll by Arizona State University and KAETTV (Channel 8) released last week showed that 54 percent of those questioned in Arizona disapprove of Bush’s job performance.

But Hayworth said he believes Bush is trying to address the problem by speaking out more forcefully in defense of the Iraq war. Hayworth said he also appreciates Bush’s willingness to talk in Arizona about improving border security.

"If a year is a lifetime in politics, then two weeks has to be (worth) at least a decade," Hayworth said last week on Valley radio station KFYI (520 AM).

3. Great math, Hayworth. 2 weeks = 1 decade. . .
in a lifespan of 260 years. No wonder you bozos can't manage a budget. . . high tech tools such as counting on your fingers seem beyond you.

"If a year is a lifetime in politics, then two weeks has to be (worth) at least a decade," Hayworth said last week.

4. Hayworth is a creepy dude
I saw him last week at the Duncan Hunter press conference where Hunter proclaimed it's "up to America to change the world" (with YOUR tax dollars). Hayworth looked like a mass killer with his beady eyes. He's a scary dude!

6. should be fun to watch that corpse Imus growl at him next time

"What a jerk, what an idiot. Mumble mumble mumble five of seven mumble mumble Imus in the Morning program mumble mumble grumble."

"You sure are right, I-man, boy you're great."

"Shut up."

"Oh boy, I-man!"

"I-man" sounds so pathetic and sycophantic - I cringe whenever I hear a politician try to get in his good graces by using it. Then again, I cringe at almost anything on that awful show.
