US Senate to demand regular reports on Iraq
WASHINGTON (AFP) - The US Senate was poised to demand that the administration of President George W. Bush provide regular reports on progress made in Iraq, following the adoption of an amendment offered by Democrats and modified by Republicans.

The amendment adopted Monday, outlined by Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman John Warner, said that "not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this act, and every three months thereafter until all US combat brigades have redeployed from Iraq, the president shall submit to Congress an unclassified report on US policy and military operations in Iraq."

Warner pointed out, however, that some of the information the administration might have on the subject could be too sensitive to be disclosed publicly.

Without laying out a timetable for troop withdrawal, the amendment says that "the US military forces should not stay in Iraq any longer than required and the people of Iraq should so be advised."

2. Bwahahahahah! Since when do these criminals have to
report to anybody? The Senate is a day late and a dollar short!
Badges? Bush Inc. don't need no stinking badges. We,(King Shrubbery) are not amused.
