White House denies confusion on strategy
WASHINGTON, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- White House officials deny there is a tug-of-war going on among Republican strategists as President George Bush's poll numbers are tanking.

"Certainly there's a recognition that at 38 percent or 39 percent job approval (for Bush) in polls, no one is satisfied with the status quo," one presidential aide told the Los Angeles Times. "We need to be communicating more effectively with the American people."

The disagreement is between moderates and hardliners, with the moderates worrying Bush has "fallen under the spell" of Vice President Dick Cheney and political adviser Karl Rove, and has moved so far to the right that he has alienated many voters, the newspaper said.

The hard-liners think Bush has erred by not being conservative enough, and some believe White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card is plotting to water down the president's agenda.

You know that the WH must be in a state of confusion when they have to come out and deny that they are in a state of confusion. What a mess.

1. They will reaffirm confusion on strategy tomorrow,
just to maintain steadfastness of strategy.

2. This quote cracks me up.
"You know that the WH must be in a state of confusion when they have to come out and deny that they are in a state of confusion."

I am so glad that the Republican Party is getting divided. It makes them weaker.Although, that scares me that hard-liners don't think Bush is conservative enough.Do they want him to be a fascist?

6. "Fallen under the spell" Are you f*cking kidding me?
WTF kind of bullshit is that? Thank you moderates for coming right out and saying Bush is a useless empty suit. Will "Fallen under his spell" be the new twinkie defense at the war crimes trial, are they shopping that one around?

7. And the Globe headline: "Bush having a breakdown"
I just saw it while waiting in line at the grocery store. Sure it's a tabloid, but it still got a chuckle out of me. :D

11. speaking of job approval.........
.....there's a conservative who posts in another group I'm in.

Last week I posted a bunch of articles about Bush's record low poll numbers and this guy said that the low numbers were a product of the liberal media bias. Today this very same guy posted another article that said that Bush's poll numbers were rebounding.

I said to him.......ok, let me get this straight. The bad poll numbers were due to liberal bias so how can he rebound from low numbers that he didn't have in the first place?

I think it just shows to what lengths they will go to make themselves look like they are right when they're clearly delusional.

...the ship is half full of water."
So your "status quo" alert for Sunday morning... is just a shade below “peachy,” huh?
Just having a little trouble getting your message out. Is that it?

It may be legal to sell that to the press...not so sure about a Grand Jury. And, by the way…it’s your message that’s the problem.
Thx DYEW.

Another administration official says: "...and we'll do whatever to whoever whenever and whereever over whatever we want, because it's our duty to 9/11 protect our 9/11 Saddam Hussein 9/11 nation from 9/11 WMDs 9/11 our no-descript 9/11 Saddam Hussein 9/11 sworn enemies 9/11 WMDs."
