After uncertainty, Harris says Senate campaign is going ahead

Associated Press

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - After weeks of uncertainty over whether another high-profile Republican would enter the race, U.S. Senate candidate Katherine Harris said Friday that GOP activists and officials are rallying around her campaign to unseat incumbent Democrat Bill Nelson.

"We're a good six weeks into our campaign now. We feel like everything has come together," Harris said in an interview. "What I have to do now is go back and touch my grassroots, go back and touch my friends around the state and make a lot of new friends."

Harris, a two-term U.S. House member and former Florida secretary of state, also said she would raise about $20 million for her campaign and insisted she would overcome a sluggish fund-raising start. Harris said Gov. Jeb Bush is scheduled to appear at an event for her in December and national Republicans have an upcoming fund-raiser planned as well.

"We know the fundraising will be there," Harris said.

5. I hope the people of Florida
unite to keep this hag, down in Florida where she belongs.

The secretary of state who purged voters from the rolls because she called them felons even though they weren't. She cheated, lie, and stole to get bush in the fucking white house and now look where bush is..course, there is still no paper trail on the Florida machines is there? So geb could make her the winner, no problem.

34. Our candidate will be the incumbent Bill Nelson
not the most charismatic man in the world, and not the most progressive, but he is well liked by moderates and independents and he should win handily.

That's about what she will need to pay off the recalibrators to fix the vote count tabulators.

Just like in the old days.

That was the big delay... Now it is full speed ahead.

Any real cowboy or cowgirl should be able to pick up on that as a sign that she's phony.

But, heck, there she is touching one of those friends she mentioned; can horses vote in Florida?

29. The difference today is
the Bush crime family needs more plain stooges to shore up their leaky boat and the rigged Florida system is their best bastion. Thus she will be set to anchor resistance to a Democratic avalanche, a star, a stooge and a buffer against the end of the Bush dynasty.

It is also a sign of a gamble and desperation. She may yet back down if the reaction against her is as strong as it should be.

Her own wishes in this matter do not really figure in.

38. "We know the fundraising
will be there," Harris said.

Is that a threat or a promise of a promise? Since rigging the '00 FL results, she has got 2 know where the skeletons R buried. So I'm guessing it is a threat. I think the gop promised her a congressional seat but she decided she wanted a senate seat which is where the split happened. She is over-reaching - being an uppity woman.

39. Harris: "You give me this Senate seat or I'll spill the beans on the 2000
election". Kathleen better watch out because I don't think she is as valuable to them as she thinks she is.
