Evidence CIA has secret jails in Europe (romania & poland)
the domestic MSM are reluctant to say where those secret prisons are, but they got outted in the financial times today:
A leading human rights group on Wednesday identified Poland and Romania as the likely locations in eastern Europe of secret prisons where al-Qaeda suspects are interrogated by the Central Intelligence Agency.

3. Stephen Hadley, President George W. Bush's
national security adviser, said: "We do what is necessary to defend the country against terrorist attacks and win the war on terror in ways that is consistent with our values."

I am so outraged that this contemptible NeoCon thinks that he can speak for me!

4. And he also says:
"some people say the test of your principles is what you do when no-one is looking. The president has insisted that whether in public or private, the same principles will apply."

So that would be the rape depicted in the Abu Ghraib photos that the US government is trying to suppress, then (as opposed to trying to prosecute the perpetrators)? Hadley is saying this goes on in the Eastern European prisons too, it seems.

5. Bush has secret Gulas in Europe...more like it..
Why it's directed at the CIA it's wishy-washy. The reason why it's now in the open, must be that something big about these Gulas is about to be exposed by the CIA against bush, and the bush people have jumped ahead of the story to clear bush's ass.

Bring it on CIA, bury the bastard bush with more crimes.

7. I guessed Romania and Poland in a thread yesterday or the day
Edited on Thu Nov-03-05 10:58 AM by higher class
before - (below)

I guessed Romania because I've heard it 'warmly' mentioned by the Rumsfed crowd in previous months.

I guessed Poland because we know that they were reimbursed by the U.S. for their coalition contributions.

I'm off to buy a lotto ticket.

Prison countries. How can we find out who they are?
They are referring to two in Eastern Europe. Roumania? Poland?

A list of these countries should be posted and broadcast. The people should explore what they can do to shut down these chambers.

These chambers can't be called prisons in the u.S. sense, because those locked up have no oversight, representation, legal protection.

Until we know that those locked up are getting Nuremberg rights, we should think the worst - torture torment with many innocent people mixed in.

The world USED to love us for our freedom.

Do not believe or trust in this WH and administration and the majority congress. We are nearly in a police state here in this country where the WH and admin try to sell democracy.

Do yourself a favor - check out how many times George refers to democracy in his speech in Uruguay.

Do not become immune to the democracy claims. FIGHT THE RIGHT."

8. Ya know - I may not believe that it is the CIA that is running things.
Rumsfeld is determined to take the work of the CIA and put it under the DIA (DOD). They are out to take revenge on the CIA.

11. Disgusted but unsurprised that Romania is among the "Black Sites"
Edited on Thu Nov-03-05 03:44 PM by MrModerate
See this FT article revealing Romania and Poland as the two most likely places we've set up gulags in Eastern Europe: http://news.ft.com/cms/s/86734122-4be9-11da-997b-0000779e2340.html

I recently returned from a year working in Romania, and it was clear to me all along that the US has its hooks deep into the leadership of the country. Even with a change of government in December 2004, the undercurrents (and the rumors of secret US bases) were palpable. Not to mention that Romanian politicians have a reputation for being -- let's be delicate -- "biddable."

So now there's a great big target painted across the face of Romania, just waiting for some islamowacko to pick a site to exact revenge against the wicked, wicked West.

The depths of evil the Bush administration reaches have not been plumbed yet, and we'll all be paying for Schimpanski's sins forever.
