CIA displays some of its spy gadgets
The CIA once built a mechanical dragonfly to carry a listening device but found small gusts of wind knocked it off course so it was never used in a spy operation.

THE AGENCY ALSO tested a 24-inch-long rubber robot catfish named “Charlie” capable of swimming inconspicuously among other fish and whose mission remains secret.
Charlie and the dragonfly were among spy gadgets displayed at CIA headquarters in an exhibit to mark the 40th anniversary of the Directorate of Science and Technology. It is not open to the public.

A robot catfish, swimming inconspicuously among other fish, on a secret mission.
Does this mark a change in policy since Bush said that "humans and fish can coexist peacefully"?

5. More taxpayer money going into the pockets
of war-toy makers. Think of those acres of decaying warplanes in Nevada, dozens of tanks dumped into the pacific to build shoals, experimental vehicles that refuse to track in the mud. Think of the bread and butter & health care the world is doing without.

6. All that sounds quite harmless and James-Bond-like
do they want to enhance their image?

Or do they expose gadgets related to their experiments with humans (drugs, interrogation and torture techniques and so on)?

Miniaturized "bugs" (both electronic and genetic mods) that are built cued into a specific target's DNA. Nasty stuff.
