Russia reiterated its support for Iran’s nuclear program and said all questions about it should be handled by the international nuclear watchdog agency in Vienna.

“Our common position is that we have to continue to deal with all the questions raised through the IAEA,” the International Atomic Energy Agency, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov was quoted as saying by the AFP news agency after holding talks in Moscow with his Iranian counterpart, Manouchehr Mottaki.

“This way we can find a decision acceptable by all sides that, on the one hand, allows Iran its lawful right to a peaceful nuclear energy program and, on the other hand, does not allow any doubts about the peaceful character of this activity,” Lavrov said.

Mottaki offered a similar view. “Iran’s nuclear aims should not be politicized,” he said, adding: “All Iranian nuclear questions should be resolved through the IAEA.”

4. This infomation reinforces my opinion that Bushco is clueless....
To the dynamic nature of foreign relations. Just the other day Sec'y Rumsfeld was complaining about the lack of transparency in China's defense spending. This coming from a nation that spends nearly as much as everyone else combined!
The warming of Sino-Russian relations were evidenced by their recent joint war games. Rumsfeld does some saber-rattling at the Chinese and "Voila!" the Russians come down on the side of the Iranians.
It should be noted that the Russians were previously in favor of Iran's nuclear energy program and even offered to supply the fuel so long as the spent fuel was returned to them.

7. Hey, I thought Ronny Raygun crushed the power and influence of...
the Soviet Union? He single-handedly ended the Cold War.

Why is this article trying to mess up Raygun's legacy?
