Bush Raises (Campaign) Funds in Hawaii on Way Home
http://abcnews.go.com/wire/Politics/ap20031024_773.html

HONOLULU Oct. 24 President Bush ended a whirlwind tour of Asia and Australia just as he began it: raising money for his own 2004 re-election campaign.

Bush stopped for 12 hours in Hawaii on his way back to Washington, taking a tour of Pearl Harbor, visiting an elementary school, catching up on the World Series in his hotel room, meeting with Pacific island leaders and attending a fund-raising dinner that added $600,000 to his campaign coffers.

<snip>

Bush has a light schedule for Monday and Tuesday, then plans to hit the road for a burst of heavy fund-raising travel through Ohio, Mississippi, Kentucky and Alabama, White House officials said. His Texas ranch will serve as home base for that travel.

<snip>

Bush ended his journey like he began it in California a week ago with a fund-raising event for his re-election campaign.

...more...

14. Yeah...
And I suppose we should excuse Smirko about Enron, because Enron also donated to Democrats.

4. I hate Bush
--I wish I could raise the same amount of funds to help the suffering people in this country--but then, I am not one of the elite rich and too honest to ever become a politician--it is obscene to me to think that a picture of Bush with yourself can be bought if you raise $20,000 for his campaign. It is right up there with child porn-- At these suppers or luncheons, the menu is the same expensive fare--thousands of dollars to eat and to toast Bush and hope the bribe brings you results.

was no way Junior could avoid them

That was great!

8. I wonder if he feels like a beggar? He runs all over the third world
and points between with his hand out begging for money to bail him out of the Iraq quagmire, then (with half a billion in his coffers for an uncontested primary) he stops and begs in Hawaii to beg some more.

I thought it was us welfare Dems that were supposed to have our hands out.

16. No, he probably thinks he is doing a swell job.
The man has no concept of "Presidency" other than it gets him more power and money even if he has to lie and steal to get it. The guy is a coward and a measly, mealy crook--worse than Nixon ever was. And these donors? the same thing--we the people are expendable,--the ones so anxious to give to the Bush charity for more war, hope to make a whole lot of money with their bribes to Bush.

10. Think I figured out the "chimpy loop".
Play gOlf
Avoid the general public at all cost
Whore around to get "donations" for Iraq
Give millions & billions of taxpayer dollars to his cronies
Whore around for campaign contributions
Clean it's cage

I pray to God this jerkoff is unemployed next year and the loop comes to an abrupt stop.

11. Surprise! Surprise! He'll be campaigning for *MORE* $ again next week!
"Bush has a light schedule for Monday and Tuesday, then plans to hit the road for a burst of heavy fund-raising travel through Ohio, Mississippi, Kentucky and Alabama, White House officials said. His Texas ranch will serve as home base for that travel."

Taking time off at Camp David, jetting to Crawford, playing golf, and giving speeches to hand-picked GOP'ers...What has Junior actually done for this country ...except f*** things up royally...and, raise more friggin' money for his coffers...so, he can screw us even more in his obsessively sought second term?!?

:argh:

12. It's really sickening...
his shameless pandering for campaign funds while people are dying in Iraq (because of him) and the country is falling apart. How can anyone NOT be offended by this.

The bastard is fiddling while Rome burns. :mad:

And legend has it that Nero caused Rome to burn. Now, about the Chimpster...

15. Kentucky is next!
I heard on the news today that after a couple of days rest he is taking off on a multi-state fund-raising tour. We lucky ducks in Ky are after y'all up in Ohio (or vice versa.) I do not want to pay a damn dime of it. Why should we? Let him use money from his former contributors just like the Dems have to do.
