Boulis killing indictment names fourth conspirator (Abramoff case)
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A grand jury indictment released Wednesday revealed the name of a man three alleged conspirators tried to hire to kill businessman Konstantinos "Gus" Boulis, but the man was not charged along with the others in the 2001 gangland-style hit.

The indictment said that the three who were charged sought in late November 2000 to hire Dwayne Nicholson, whose age and hometown were not disclosed, to kill Boulis. But the document did not elaborate on whether Nicholson actually carried out the crime or might be a witness for the prosecution, and efforts to locate him were unsuccessful.

Miami attorney Michael Becker, who represents murder suspect Anthony Ferrari, said Nicholson was a former employee of Ferrari's but that he had no further information. Asked if he knew Nicholson's current whereabouts, Becker said, "Are you kidding me?"

According to the murder indictment, "Big Tony" Moscatiello and "Little Tony" Ferrari tried to hire Nicholson between Nov. 24 and Nov. 29, 2000, to kill Boulis. Fiorillo, whose nickname is "Pudgy," was not part of that deadly request, although he is charged with taking part in the murder conspiracy.

1. This is a very important story
These folks are WAYYYY to close to Delay, Bush and Rove. Abramoff the "bag man" and partner in SunCruz now indictee knows where all the bodies are buried. Either they will shut this sucker down and we'll never know the truth, or someone will talk and bust this and the Bush admin. wide open. A little factoid...Atta(911 terrorist) was reportedly on a Suncruz ship in early 2001. This is known to the feds. This is during the time Abramoff and Kidan his partner ostensibly owned Suncruz and were bleeding the company for cash. Boulis is murdered. Did they buy the cruise line to launder money? Appears this was Abramoffs game. Who was he laundering money for? Sorry no links, I've been reading up all day and hope I haven't confused things. I think we should all follow this story closely and you research hounds, search all the way back to 2001 on the murder. Tons of interesting, chilling stuff. Note: John Gotti Jr. was released from jail yesterday after 5 years, the accused murderers are known associates of him and his father. Makes you go hhhmmmm...

I forgot to mention all the Abramoff "fundraisers in skyboxes at football etc. games for among others, Delay and Ney. The alleged perps were said to have attended at least one. At least one perp attended Bush's inauguration in 2001. Delay does not "recall" knowing any of these folks other than Abramoff. Ney actually put into the Congressional record statements against Boulis (the murder victim) when he was being pressured to sell to Abramoff and Kidan and after they acquired it, statements praising the change of control...Why?

Because Delay has so much power he thinks he's a fucking Don, an "untouchable"

He rigged texas and can raise funds with a threat and a dentured smile like no ones business. He's the Godfather of the house. You want to get elected? Go to Tom. You need redistricting in your state, go to Tom. You need re-election funds? Go to Tom. That's mafia fucking loyalty. Only one problem: this aint the fucking shady underside of the Bronx, it's the fucking Capitol of the US of A. There are cameras and constituents and another family to deal with.

FORT LAUDERDALE

Records show start of alleged Boulis plot

Newly released court records introduced a new player into the Gus Boulis murder saga. It is a man -- as yet uncharged -- who allegedly was solicited to kill the gambling tycoon.

BY WANDA J. DeMARZO AND EVAN S. BENN
wdemarzo@herald.com

The alleged plot to kill Gus Boulis was planned at least three months before the tycoon was executed on the streets of downtown Fort Lauderdale in 2001.

Authorities aren't saying where the hit on Boulis was hatched or what motive the suspects might have had. But court papers released Wednesday allege that a series of phone calls and meetings began on Nov. 24, 2000, and that one of the suspects, Anthony ''Little Tony'' Ferrari, solicited a man named Dwayne Nicholson to kill the gambling boat owner and Miami Subs founder.

Ferrari, 48, who authorities describe as a gangster wannabe who liked to say he knew New York mobster John Gotti, hung with a crew of cohorts who provided security for clients in and around Miami.

One of the indictments asserts that Ferrari tried to hire Nicholson between Nov. 24 and Nov. 29, 2000, to kill Boulis.

Nicholson, 36, who hung with Ferrari and members of his crew, has not been charged, and did not take part in the slaying, according to a source. Records show he is a one-time Maryland resident who more recently lived in the Miami area. Police said he worked as a bodyguard for Ferrari.

Mob-style hit here reminiscent of bad old Vegas

BY FRED GRIMM

........Kidan also paid Anthony ''Little Tony'' Ferrari, $95,000 to provide ''security'' for SunCruz, though Ferrari never bothered to obtain a state security operator's license.

The Miami Herald's Larry Lebowitz reported in 2001 that Ferrari once briefly choked and threatened to kill a Miami lawyer who had filed a lawsuit against an associate, warning the lawyer that he had ties to mobster John Gotti.

Nevada Gaming Enforcement chief Jerry Markling said Wednesday that Kidan and his connected buddies would not have been allowed anywhere near a Nevada operation.

Yet, in wide-open Florida, Kidan could become an instant gambling kingpin. In Florida, Moscatiello and Ferrari had no worries about background investigations.

In a way, that was too bad for Kidan's boys. Fort Lauderdale police charged Moscatiello and Ferrari (along with Ferrari's associate James ''Pudgy'' Fiorillo) with the Boulis murder Tuesday.

If Florida only had had a sensible system in place to regulate an industry with a long history of bad actors -- the two Tonys might have been kept away from SunCruz and out of trouble.

And maybe Gus would still be alive.
