Satirical Site Pulled For 'Tasteless' Obama Content
<http://www.nbc5.com/politics/2577350/detail.html?z=dp&dpswid=2265994&dppid=65193>

CHICAGO -- A Web site meant to be a satirical dig at Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Barack Obama (pictured) was withdrawn after the owner and others objected to content that suggested the candidate was anti-American and comparable to Osama bin Laden.
Nicholas Tyszka, a Republican consultant whose Indiana-based firm, T. Nicholas & Co., had put up the www.BarackObama.com site earlier this month, said it was withdrawn Wednesday when he discovered that some of the attacks on Obama were not in good taste.

At one point on the site, near a "A dream to destroy America" headline, Obama, a black state senator from Chicago who was an early critic of President George W. Bush's plan to go to war with Iraq, is made to appear as if he were bin Laden, the al-Qaida terrorist.
"The Senate race in Illinois is an important one," the site stated. "And frankly, that's why we must make sure that candidates who are so liberal that they are downright anti-American don't win this race. That's what this site is all about."

Not only was the web site tasteless, but also this friggin’ news outlet for its tasteless implication that it was a satirical website to begin with….fucking media….

1. They are unfortunately laying the groundwork to shut lots down

"satire" is on dangerous footing with the Bush gang in office.. It's really odd too, since they seem to so enjoy the harassment they meted out during the Clinton years.. This "over-the-top" site was no doubt a "test case" so that when they start shutting sites down like Bartcop,and even ours, they can say..."Look, we are evenhanded...we shut down one that bashed dems too..

As tasteless as it was, I really wish they had left it alone :(

The Center for the Homeless offers you the key to helping your community -- and receiving a tax deduction for yourself!
The CFH Cars donation program benefits our community by supporting the 200 men, women, and children who call the Center "home" each day.
THE CENTER USES THE DONATED VEHICLES TO SELL TO CURRENT/FORMER GUESTS or to take to auction. Both ways help to offset the costs of providing life-changing programs that help break the cycle of homelessness in our community.

And WHO might be donating their in exchange for this masive tax deduction?

But why be surprised?

Prior to founding T. Nicholas & Co., Nick worked on Capitol Hill in the Office of Majority Leader Dick Armey in the U.S. House of Representatives. As Mr. Armey's Assistant for Coalitions, Nick acted as a liaison between coalition groups and members of the House Republican Leadership. In that role, he also worked to encourage political activism amongst young people -- often speaking to visitors to our nation's Capitol. Nick also made national television appearances to promote conservative perspectives on a number of critical issues. More recently, Nick has made television appearances as a Republican strategist on both WNDU-TV and WSBT-TV in South Bend.

Nick first began his career in politics upon graduating from college when he accepted a job as the Communications Director for a Republican Congressional campaign in Northern Indiana. While the campaign captured nearly 48% of the vote, it was a losing effort that taught Nick some tough lessons about politics and business. Among them, "Play to win, or don't bother to get into the game."
