Chevron shuts down second flow station in Nigeria amid unrest

LAGOS, Nigeria (AP) - Chevron Corp. shut down a second oil flow station in Nigeria amid unrest in the oil-rich delta, a company spokeswoman said Friday.

"I can confirm that we shut down Robertkiri (late Thursday), following information it was under immediate threat," said Chevron spokeswoman Edith Azinge in Lagos. She said Robertkiri usually produces 19,000 barrels a day.

A separatist militia group has threatened oil installations after the government arrested its leader and said it would charge him with treason, a capital offence.

Nigeria is the world's eighth-largest oil exporter and the fifth main supplier to the United States.

1. So, will we suddenly discover WMDs in Nigeria and send in the troop?

2. Don't need to find WMD's in Nigeria....
Remember the now disproved 'yellow cake' theory regarding Niger?

Well, turns out there was yellow cake, but it wasn't Niger, it was NIGERIA....Honest mistake coming from an administration that can't differentiate between Saudi Arabia and Iraq....

See, the reason Joe Wilson didn't find evidence of yellow cake is because the CIA sent him to the wrong country...OH! If only the US had good intelligence...etc...

I swear, I can hear these 'morans' trying to spin this now.
