Korea Likely to Earn $400-800 Mln Annually from Iraqi Projects

SEOUL, Oct. 21 (Yonhap) -- South Korea is expected to earn US$400-800 million annually from its participation in rehabilitation work in Iraq, based on the assumption that a non-military government will be established in that country within the next two years, an economic report claimed Tuesday.

The international rehabilitation of Iraq will create an annual $15-20 billion worth of demand for construction and commodities, according to the report released by Joo Dong-joo, a researcher at the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics & Trade.
