Attack Fears Shorten Bush Visit to Manila
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=516&ncid=716&e=1&u=/ap/20031018/ap_on_re_as/bush

MANILA, Philippines - President Bush brought promises of military aid and solidarity to the terrorism-plagued Philippines on Saturday, in a hurried state visit cut short by fears of attack.

A pair of U.S. F-15 fighter jets escorted Air Force One into Manila. They flew so close that the pilots' faces could be seen clearly from the presidential aircraft.

Bush's stop here was limited to just eight hours, speeding him through a wreath-laying ceremony, talks with President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, a speech to Congress and a formal state dinner. He was rushing from the dinner back to Air Force One to head for Thailand by day's end.

More than 1,000 university students and other activists marched to protest Bush's visit to Manila, a city already on edge thanks to a massive security blanket.

1. Face your adoring public, you f*ckin' pussy!
George W. Bush is a coward. Everywhere he goes he is cloaked in a magnum force security blanket.

History will be very unkind to this miserable excuse for a man.

4. Always the master of couth isn't he?
Methinks this had more to do with the brevity of the visit:

"More than 1,000 university students and
ther activists marched to protest Bush's
visit to Manila, a city already on edge
thanks to a massive security blanket."

No negative publicity is needed to upset the PR for the new product line highlighting the coalition of the shilling.

5. it's so embarassing to have the shrub travel outside the USA...

the protests and constant security suggests that shrub is some kind of sicko serial killer...

can't we just leave the shrub at the Prarie Chapel Ranch in Crawford and have him just call these people???

6.  lol How ironic
Old Bring 'em On is ducking and running for cover;

scurrying and scampering around no doubt with lots of
Air Force planes in attendance

Oh my! Even when he is out of office, he will
never, ever be able to be out in public without
Guards Galore.

I guess he will want the American taxpayers to pay
for his lifelong SS protection.

I don't think they sleep in the WH and wonder just
how much time they are actually in the building.

12. Oh, of COURSE it was "Leftists" burning the American Flag over there...
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?g=events/wl/08072001philippines&a=&tmpl=sl&ns=&l=&e=6&a=0&t=&prev=5

Oh, of COURSE, it was all “Leftists” in the Phillipines that were burning the American Flag when bush went to visit!

Obviously, hatred of the USA in FOREIGN countries is limited to Leftists. Right-wingers from ALL OVER THE WORLD simply LOVE the USA!!!

For example, in Afghanistan, the Taliban would be what we call "Liberals". The people in Iran, who follow Ayatollah so and so? LIBERALS, OBVIOUSLY! In Fact, Muslim Fundamentalism is BEST described as Liberalism, right? I mean, EVERYBODY knows that the Left is nothing but a bunch of reactionary, nationalistic, ultra-conservative religious zealots who hate other countries!

Yeah, this is SOME “Liberal Media” we got here in the USA…

Saw a vermin for a second on tv and changed the channel because I suddenly got sick. But not before I just happened to hear it spewing that Sadaam Hussein building weapons of mass destruction line again.

Now we know why they chose a mouse as shrubs' food tester.

"Attack Fears Shorten Bush Visit to Manila"

Attacks often follow after a visit from Bush. It's kind of like being slimed......
I'd shorten his visit too! LOL! (sarcasm off)

has cut out:

"He was rushing from the dinner back to Air Force One to head for Thailand by day's end."

Not a very flattering image of Bunnypants and you know the situation is extremely serious if it comes between Georgie and food.
