Iraqi Police Say Three Polish Soldiers Killed in Grenade Attack
http://www.wivb.com/Global/story.asp?S=1486965&nav=0RapIb2C

(Karbala, Iraq, October 17, 2003 -AP) - - Three international military policemen were killed in a midnight clash in this restive shrine city, witnesses said Friday. Conflicting reports said the dead were either Polish or American soldiers.

The U.S. command in Baghdad, 50 miles to the north, said it had no immediate information on the bloodshed.

Gunfire broke out again Friday morning in the same area, around the offices of a senior Shiite Muslim cleric in Karbala, where rivalries among Shiite factions have produced sporadic violence in recent weeks.

An armored personnel carrier appeared to be firing as screaming men, women and children fled for cover. Shiite gunmen defiantly shouted "Allahu Akbar," or "God is Great."

<snip>

Things are still going smoothly. Right, Rummy?

6. That's really not appropriate
A hell of a lot more Americans have been killed by their own grenades than soldiers from other countries.

3. Karbala again. And it's only starting
with the Shiites.

Poor guys. What the hell are Poles doing there?

"We have never hidden our desire for Polish oil companies to finally have access to sources of commodities," Foreign Minister Wlodzimierz Cimoszewicz told the Polish PAP news agency.

Access to the oilfields "is our ultimate objective," he added.

13. Poles are accepting bribes, graft and kick backs
Edited on Sat Oct-18-03 03:35 AM by saigon68
Chimp and co. will stoop to any means to keep their mission on track for world domination.

If this means the only way to get "foreign police specialists " to pacify IRAQ---- the Chimpanzee's handlers will bribe the leaders of many small countries to send their citizens to be killed in IRAQ-NAM

8. Yes, I think it was our men who were killed, but the Poles were guarding
that area.

9. I think there should be a headline reading: Seven Coalition Forces Killed
in Firefight

But that might seem as if things in Iraq were not peachy keen.

10. Didn't the Poles withdraw to a safer locale
after the UN bombing? I know I read an article that used every word but "retreat" to describe the move.

11. I think at that time,
Karbala was considered "safe." Outside of the so-called "Sunni triangle" and all that.

15. Chalabi and a few others love us for the $$$ kickbacks and bribes
Many capitalits in the middle east(they don't like the term) love the amerikan presence.

There will be money made from being the local franchiser for Coke, Mac and Don's, Burger King, Kentucky fried etc.
There are greedy, avaricious exploiters in the middle east, and these are the "people" who love our presence there.
