Doctor shot dead in Iraq

Information is brief...

An Iraqi doctor has been shot dead in the southern Iraqi city of Basra, hospital officials said. Haidar al-Baaj was shot from close range in the back of the head as he was entering his private clinic. Al-Baaj, 48, was recently promoted to the post of director of the Educational Hospital in Basra, the officials said, on condition of anonymity.
