British voters impressed by Blair's leadership in wake of attacks

London - British Prime Minister Tony Blair's rating as leader has soared in the wake of the London terrorist attacks, even though a majority of voters believe that his decision to go to war in Iraq has fuelled the terrorism risk, a poll showed Tuesday.

The Populus poll, published in the Times, showed that Blair scored his second-highest rating for leadership, with nearly a third of all voters suggesting that he should reconsider his decision to stand down at the end of the current parliamentary term.

The boost comes despite 64 per cent of those polled saying that the Iraq war had increased the risk of terrorist attacks.

Almost 30 per cent of voters, and 48 per cent of Labour supporters, want Blair, aged 52, to stay beyond the present term which will end in May, 2010 at the latest.

1. So All One Can Say Is Blair Isn't Behind the Bombings of His own people
Except that he invaded Iraq with Bush. Unlike some leaders we could mention, whose culpability in 9/11 has never been fully explored or prosecuted.

3. Are you frigging kidding me? One of the two nutballs responsible for
the horrible mess we're in today, and he's getting good marks for standing in front of the press spouting lines about how it isn't connected to Iraq, blah, blah, blah? Oh my gosh, I thought that the British were smarter than that.

6. Piss off, liar Murdoch; bLiar approval DROPS 14 points in 2 weeks.
"Political sensitivities over the bombings are at an all-time high and were underlined by a poll which showed that support for Mr Blair's handling of the crisis had dropped by 14 per cent in just two weeks.

8. What the Hell Kind Of World Do We Live In
Where, instead of leaders being held accountable for their actions, and their failures, they are "propped up" when terrible and despicable things happen to the people they are supposed to be leading?

This is the "kool-aid drinking" MSM in it's ultimate glory. "Hey! The Presidents poll numbers are in the tank! Quick let's have some more terror please."

It's like the frat initiation scene in "Animal House"...."thank you sir, may I have another?"

How about if their approval numbers only go up when they are actually doing their fucking jobs and protecting the country.

Here's what happens next.

(1) President goes to clear brush at his pig-farm on 30 day vacation.

(2) America is attacked and scores of innocent people are killed.

(3) President's approval rating goes to 85%.

What the fuck is wrong with this picture???

15. The kind of world where people believe whatever they see, read or hear
they gobble up the propaganda like it's apple pie and don't even bother to check into who wrote and who printed it and why they needed to.

9. This sounds bogus to me. Just a couple days ago he had lost 14 polling
points and 85% of Brits blamed the Iraq war for the bombings. This doesn't compute. Why would they want to keep this piece of lying garbage?

10. DIfferent polls warrant different results....
However, even though this poll is eluting to positive ratings, one does have to note, that most attribute UK's presence in Iraq to the attacks.

12. Lies are real. Truths are ignored.
Bush & Blair are out for world domination. They tell us what we think. Everything is going according to their plan. They could care less about the ga-zillions who disagree.

13. hogwash

I don't believe this poll

I'm sure older Britians can't be fooled.

I recently learned that the religiously insane have taken over many British public schools and now run them. thanks to criminal Blair.
