U.S. Believes Saddam Recently In Tikrit
Saddam Hussein is believed to have been hiding out recently in Tikrit, influencing the anti-American insurgency, the U.S. military said Monday. Fresh attacks by resistance forces across central Iraq were reported to have killed three American soldiers and wounded five others.

"We have clear indication he has been here recently," Maj. Troy Smith, a deputy brigade commander, told reporters in Tikrit, the fugitive former president's hometown and now headquarters for the 4th Infantry Division. "He could be here right now," he said of Saddam.

The insurgents' attacks on U.S. occupation forces averaged 22 a day in the past week, the U.S. military reported Monday in Baghdad. That's an increase of several a day over the pace of some weeks earlier, and has resulted in American deaths at a rate of almost one every two days.

1. Well it's his hometown!
Doesn't it kinda make sense to look there for him first? So much for Army Intelligence.

3. aaaarrrrgggghhhhhh.....
"We're smokin' em out"

"We're hot on his trail"

"We're closing in"

I dunno...maybe they will find him but this stuff is just getting too suspicious for me to swallow.

If they really were close to finding Saddam, do you think they'd actually broadcast it in the media?

Disinform....spin....lie....spin...cheat...propagandize...

4. Last week someone gave my wife...
A joke cartoon book entitled, "Where's Saddam?" It showed Dub--dressed in cowboy attire:eyes:--looking all over the place to find him, and of course in every scene Saddam was thinly disguised, while Dub just couldn't see him, no matter how hard he looked. The last page had Saddam in a Vegas hot tub!:D

Hmm...wonder if Osama was in the next suite? That wouldn't actually prove the Neo-Con chickenhawks RIGHT or anything, would it?:eyes:

B-)

6. If they found and killed saddam tomorrow
then all holy hell would break wide open. Not because they killed saddam, but because they would remove one more obstacle towards a total islamic state.
What excuse would there be to have over 100,000 soldiers in a foreign country? The call for U.S. out would get very loud and when it's not saddam's deadenders killing americans what will john q. think then?
