David Limbaugh forced to apologize for false assertion in new book
Cue that laugh track! "Author David Limbaugh apologized for mistakenly including a Tupelo school in his new best-selling book about incidents he calls anti-Christian." Read it and laugh so hard you'll cry! OUCH!! Sounds like the boy could use some of his brother's leftover OxyContin...

1. not suprised here
Every book published by Regnery (Limbaugh, Coulter, Ingraham, etc...) could use a couple fact checkers

2. Sheesh, nice book title
"Persecution: How Liberals are Waging War Against Christianity"

Sounds a little....Coulter-ish, don't you think?

Talk about trying to cash in on Coulter's hate-mongering. I wonder if he'll put on a blond wig and wear short skirts, too.

Ann Coulter wears a jock strap. Because if she didn't her thingy would hang down to her knees like a wet paper sack.

3. Instead of "Persecution" the title of this book should be
"College educated nobody trying to tap into the bible-thumping lemmings that his draft-dodging, narcotic addicted, twice divorced college dropout brother has so artfully fleeced of their time and money for the last decade and a half." Surely there are enough dumbasses in the herd to share with family. Shrub raised $350,000 off his mom's xmas card list in the 70's for a cong. run! In some families fleecing idiots is a proud tradition.

18. actually, I was thinking of Elvis' birthplace . . .
but there two lesser claims to fame as well . . . the Ode to Billy Joe reference cited above is one . . . the other is that for years Tupelo was home to the main plant producing Rockwell power tools (don't know if that's still the case) . . . good guess, moof . . . you win . . . :)

11. Minor admission. Major damage still being done by this screed.
Edited on Mon Oct-13-03 12:47 AM by Merlin
How many small brained, Jesus freaks will ever see this admission? Damn few.

The book remains a classic example of Hitlerite scapegoating. It is McCarthyism writ large. McCarthy only went after Communists. The right has villified and demonized an entire, major segment of thinking, caring, patriotic, intelligent, hard-working decent American citizens.

These mother-f*ckers are still not dead yet. Let's not celebrate. The beast still lives and roams. Until a stake is driven through its heart, we are not yet safe from its venom.

12. More responsible republican journalism.
If that big of a glaring mistake based on something he read while on his way to the Sunday Comics is in this book. What else is there? And how can this be treated like anything other than toilet paper.

Hey David what about the Christian right wing racist agenda war against the constitution and freedom in America?

appears to be genetic. I wonder if he's prone to addictive behavior as well.
