Iraq blast kills at least 54/Iraq mosque bomb
Edited on Sat Jul-16-05 02:08 PM by cal04
A suicide attacker detonated explosives strapped to his body Saturday at a gas station near a Shiite mosque south of Baghdad, triggering a huge explosion in a fuel tanker and killing at least 54 people, police said. Eighty-two people were injured. Police Capt. Muthanna Khaled Ali said the attack occurred in Musayyib, about 40 miles south of Baghdad.

Many killed in Iraq mosque bomb

At least 58 people have been killed in a suicide bomb attack in the town of Musayyib, some 60 km (40 miles) south of Baghdad. Police in Hilla have told the BBC the bomber blew himself up near a mosque. It seems the bomb caused a nearby fuel tanker to explode. At least another 80 people are said to have been injured. Earlier on Saturday, three British soldiers were killed by a roadside bomb in central Amarah, south-east Iraq. The attacker in Musayyib is thought to have detonated explosives that blew up a petrol tanker near the Shia mosque and a market. The explosion set neighbouring houses on fire and caused very serious damage, an interior ministry official told the AFP news agency.

8. Yeah, it's just some brown people
Carlin on American warfare:

"Especially if your country is full of brown people. Oh, we like that, don't we? That's our hobby now. But it's also our new job in the world: bombing brown people. Iraq, Panama, Grenada, Libya. You got some brown people in your country? Tell 'em to watch the fuck out, or we'll goddamn bomb them."

13. Jara sang, that is one of the most heart breaking photos
I,ve seen. The look on the face of the saluting military man is just so horribly sad. Visuals mean so much.

This nation needs to see it all. Not just he bombing aftermath in mostly white nations but ALL of it. Every flag draped coffin and funeral of service people should also be telecast. ( If the family agrees).

We know why those responsible are trying to hide the results of THEIR EVILDOING!!!!!!!!!

9. At least 58 killed in powerful bombing south of Baghdad
BAGHDAD (AFP) - At least 58 people were killed and 86 wounded in a powerful explosion outside a Shiite mosque in the town of Al-Musayyib, 90 kilometres (55 miles) south of the capital, an interior ministry official said here.

The explosion, which set neighbouring houses on fire and caused very serious damage, was believed to have been caused by a bomb on a petrol tanker which blew up, the official said.

The blast followed a frenzy of suicide attacks on Friday in which at least 28 people were killed in 12 suicide bombings. That was the largest number in a single day since April 29, the day after Ibrahim Jaafari became prime minister.

Iraq fuel truck bomb devastates town, kills 70
Sun Jul 17, 2005 5:13 AM ET

By Haidar Kathim
MUSAYYIB, Iraq (Reuters) - Stricken townspeople swept away the wreckage of a fuel truck bomb that killed 70 people south of Baghdad as three more suicide car bombers struck the Iraqi capital on Sunday in a relentless new campaign.

The overnight attack which devastated the highway town of Musayyib was the deadliest since the new Iraqi government took power in April, prompting denunciations of the authorities in parliament and calls for local militia to take up arms.

A suicide bomber blew up a fuel truck near a crowded vegetable market outside the mosque. In addition to the 70 killed, at least 95 people were wounded, police said.

"This is a black day in the history of the town," Musayyib police chief Yas Khudayr said.

28. "called for local militia to be formed to replace failed police"
Can anyone say: "Civil War"

At a tense session in parliament, politicians assailed the government for failing to maintain security and called for local militia to be formed to replace failed police and soldiers.

"The plans of the interior and defense ministries to impose security in Iraq have failed to stop the terrorists. We need to bring back popular militias," senior parliamentarian Khudair al-Khuzai told the chamber.

All data enters the FBI/NSA computers and is being modified.
