1. Which "we" are they speaking of? Not me, not millions of others who
hit the streets and millions more who contacted their representatives, not a brave group of over 100 Democrats who rallied to prevent the signing of the war resolution.....we weren't decieved.....we knew this was just smoke and mirrors from the cabal.......so WHO is 'we'?

2. a tactic
One of the big problems I see is the millions
and millions of people who supported the war.
The loved it, the bombs, the tanks, everything and
it polled at 80%. These people need to be wedged
out of Bush's a** and this issue of misleading
is a soft wedge that will let them step back
away from their own support of the war enough
to met the demands of denial and maintain their
internal dialog about their own goodness.

I have a coworker who I bitterly argued with
about the war for months. I have come the
conclusion that it is not easy for a person to
leave a position without way out that maintains
their own self image as a good person. In this
case a save the poor Iraqis and give them the
gift of democracy position.

The "we" is the people we are trying to flip
from supporting Bush's war.

4. ezmojason is onto it here...
If the rabid supporters of the war are not given a 'soft way' out of their support for ***, then it is very possible that they will actually harden their support for him, Iraq, and future adventures. Some will anyway, of course, no matter what lies and subterfuges are exposed. They are the blind faith camp followers, sad folks really.
Proof that propaganda and brainwashing are tough to overcome.
