London Probes Whether Attackers Died

LEEDS, England - Police said Tuesday they were investigating whether four attackers died in last week's London subway and bus bombings and have arrested one person after a series of raids in this northern city with a strong Muslim community.

At least three of the suspected bombers came from the West Yorkshire region, which includes Leeds, said Peter Clark, head of the Metropolitan Police anti-terrorist branch.

Closed-circuit TV video showed that all four had arrived at King's Cross station by 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, about 20 minutes before the blasts began, Clark said.

In a Scotland Yard news conference, Clarke said police had "strong forensic and other evidence" that the man who carried a bomb onto a subway train that exploded between the Aldgate and Liverpool Street stations had died in the blast, and they were awaiting confirmation from the coroner. Police were trying to determine whether the other three also died in the explosions.

Police indicated that there had been a breakthrough in their inquiry.

4. I find it odd that FAUX news right now (tv)

is claiming that 4 suicide bombers died in the attack. At the same time Monica Crowley on MSNBC claimed the same thing. Seems Crowley has corrected herself, 1 maybe died and 3 still being investigated. Faux either knows something ahead of time that we all don't or they are as usual being irresponsible .... :shrug: Peace.

"We are trying to establish if they all died in the explosions," said Deputy Assistant Commissioner Peter Clarke, the head of the Metropolitan Police department's anti-terror unit, said in a Scotland Yard press conference Tuesday. He said one arrest had been made in the investigation.

Sky News, a sister network of FOX News, reported Tuesday that all four men — each armed with a separate bomb — perished in the blasts. The network quoted police sources.

The latest development backs the theory that the attacks were carried out by homicide bombers. There had been initial speculation that the explosives were detonated remotely, with timing devices.

Isn't he a beauty! He's here in the US. He was just sold to a woman in Maryland. Cotton looks very much like him!
Here's a picture of Cotton as a baby in her first summer and fall. (She's 2 now.) I still have to upload new pictures of her. I just got a new digital camera and have to upload new software to my computer at work so I can download the photos. I'll try to e-mail a recent picture from my new cell/picture phone.

Listen you idiot journalist, of course they were homicide bombers. If anyone died in the attack then it was a homicide, regardless of whether or not the bombers died. The question is whether the bombers committed suicide at the same time, in which case they were suicide bombers.

You'd think that journalists would learn to speak friggin English. (Yes, I know that they can speak English and that they're doing it on purpose. It still counts as unprofessional journalism in my book).
