Judge to cull irrelevant Limbaugh doctor records

WEST PALM BEACH - A judge ruled that he will privately review Rush Limbaugh's medical records before handing over relevant material to prosecutors investigating the radio commentator's use of painkiller drugs.

Limbaugh's attorney Roy Black asked the judge two weeks ago to keep many of the records out of prosecutors' hands because they contain details about medical procedures, symptoms and other issues that should be private and have no bearing on the investigation into whether Limbaugh illegally obtained prescription drugs.

Circuit Judge Thomas Barkdull said Friday that once his review is complete, he will give prosecutors those records relevant to the long-stalled investigation and return the rest to Black.

In a word, Yes, if the case is managed correctly by the courts. What they don't get is an international stage on which to scream bloody murder that they system which prosecutes guys like Michael Jackson and OJ Simpson now have the unmitigated gaul to prosecutor a great American orator and philosopher like potty-brain Limbaugh.

It's only if something in their records bears on the crime that it counts. I'd love to see Rush humiliated, but it's up to the judge to decide what is admissable, and to allow irrelevent crap in would make an appeal a piece of cake.
