Agents probe student prank . Yearbook caption a threat to Bush?
By David Montero, Rocky Mountain News
May 28, 2005

The yearbook staff at Mesa Ridge High School could have added another category to its annual "Most Likely To . . ." candidates this year - "Student Most Likely to be Investigated by the Secret Service."

A student prank resulted in a girl's yearbook photo being coupled with the caption, "Most Likely to Assassinate President Bush." The caption brought Secret Service agents to campus and forced the Colorado Springs high school to issue letters of explanation and regret to parents, according to principal Scott Campbell

School officials also went through the distributed yearbooks and blacked out the caption.

Campbell said of the approximately 600 yearbooks, only about 25 escaped alteration.
