Hopes Begin To Fade For School Finance Compromise (TX)
An eleventh hour meeting between House and Senate leaders ended early Friday without a compromise on school finance reform.

1. Let's review recent history, kids...
It took three special sessions of the Texas Legislature in 2003 to push through Tom DeLay's criminal redistricting scam down here.

How many special sessions will be called to make sure Texas teachers get paid and Texas students actually have schools to attend?

2. It will never happen
Perry, facing some real challenges for his goverorship won't allow a special session.
What happens if , say, the session fizzles or fails to work out a solution and then Perry gets dinged for poor leadership ?

This GOP session has been mostly about greed and fear , or fear and greed.
I can't expect them to act like adults. With rare exceptions, they almost never do
