U.S. Special Ops troops preparing to train foreign soldiers in Africa
By Charlie Coon, Stars and Stripes
European edition, Sunday, May 15, 2005

STUTTGART, Germany — U.S. forces are preparing to deploy in June to northern Africa for military exercises designed to help make the countries more stable and secure.

About 1,000 Special Operations troops, mostly from Europe, will be working for three weeks with troops from the African countries. The goals, like those of American trainers in Iraq, are to improve the professionalism of local troops and thus the legitimacy of their governments.

“This is just the start of decades worth of work in Africa,” said Army Maj. John Silkman, a long-range planner with U.S. Special Operations Command Europe, which is leading the exercise. “We can’t wait for a clear and present danger to arise to engage there.”

There will be two parts to June’s exercise, which is called Flintlock 05.

9. Training FOREIGN soldiers?
Sounds like the Coalition is recruiting and training FOREIGN mercenaries
like the ones they tried to use to overthrow Obiang.

he US has frozen bank accounts worth hundreds of millions of dollars belonging to Obiang and his family after the funds were discovered in American bank accounts.

Riggs Bank was managed to some degree by Dubya's Unka Jonathan. Money from accounts was moved around without the knowledge or consent of the clients such as Princess Haifa who was SHOCKED to find out that her cash had been used in 911.
The money is NOT frozen. It is simply GONE. Someone spent it, or maybe it was never there in the first place. In any case, the US wants oil and has no intention of paying for it.

Since the beginning of the Iraq Invasion in March of 2003, Kuwait has been supplying the U.S. Military with free fuel, however today, Kuwait's energy minister Sheik Ahmed Fahd Al Ahmed Al Sabah stated that U.S. troops will have to start paying for it. Roughly 18,000 troops are based in Kuwait and the country has long been a staging site for actions into Iraq.

Go into foreign countries and train the locals to fight, but we would also hone the skills of the local military too in other places. Had a few occasions where would run into Peace Corp and they would HATE us (with reason I mean we were there for the exact opposite to some respects that they were).

In 3rd Group we operated in Saharan / Northern Africa, forgot who had the southern part of the continent. So yeah I know of and have experience with this and that was 10+ years ago and it wasn't anything new then =)

4. The US goal for Nicaragua was actually destabiliztion,
not stabilization, of the Sandinista regime. And the contra campaign was very effective. Illegal? probably, but effective too.

6. Gee...aren't there a couple of OPEC countries in northern Africa?....
Check out every place we've sent troops in the last few years, and you'll find one or more OPEC countries at the focus of the NeoCon efforts.

Just as the PNACers have stated directly or indirectly in their documents, the NeoCons are after global domination by any and all economic, political and military means.

8. With a little bit of luck
the trainees will then use their talents to DEFEAT the marauding invaders.

10. Fortifying.
There was a short special on BBC last year about this. They are doing this throughout central Africa. Interestingly it is done in non-Muslim countries, countries that border predominantly Muslim nations, or countries with minority Muslim populations. Ghana, Chad, Central African Republic, Cameroon, and Ethiopia. Creating a kind of wall, like containment. Prevention indeed.

13. Condemned by his own words
>“This is just the start of decades worth of work in Africa,” said Army
> Maj. John Silkman, a long-range planner with U.S. Special Operations
> Command Europe, which is leading the exercise. “We can’t wait for a
> clear and present danger to arise to engage there.”

I repeat:
"We can’t wait for a clear and present danger to arise to engage there."

There is no clear and present danger.
There is no imminent clear and present danger.
We can't wait for the possibility that such *might* arise in the future.
We are going to go there now (and for the coming decades).

How much more blatant can you get?

War-mongering bastards.
