Senate Democrats Ready for Bolton Nomination
http://story.news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050513/ap_on_go_co/un_ambassador

WASHINGTON - President Bush's nomination of John R. Bolton to be U.N. ambassador has been shaken again by a Republican senator's surprise opposition to the embattled nominee, and Democrats hope to seize the opportunity and defeat him in the Senate.

At a minimum, they will play for delay, make the White House squirm and renew accusations that Bolton was overly aggressive as the State Department's top arms-control official, pushing his views and trying to damage the careers of officials who disagreed with him.

The leader of the fight against Bolton, Sen. Joseph R. Biden (news, bio, voting record) of Delaware, suggested Bush "would be better served by bringing the nomination down."

"It does not appear that Mr. Bolton has the confidence of a majority of the members of the Senate," Biden said.

3. Then Voinovich has just told us who he is and what he stands for.
And all the elbow nudging and winking in D.C. can't hide that fact.

5. If Bolton were a Democrat, wouldn't Plato's Retreat...
be appearing in some headlines? Or, at least, all over Drudge?

7. If he were a Democrat
he would have never made it to the committee. The Corporate owned media would never have allowed that to happen. A Democrat having consensual sex is oh so much worse than a repuke sexual pervert and rapist like bolton.
