Venezuela Plans to Turn Over Old Military Rifles to Reserve, General Says
http://ap.tbo.com/ap/breaking/MGBO1PBS48E.html

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) - Venezuela plans to turn over old military rifles to reservists as it buys new Russian-made rifles for its regular troops this year, a top military commander said.
The old FAL rifles are to be checked and maintained for further use once the military obtains 100,000 new Kalashnikov AK 103 and 104 rifles, Gen. Melvin Lopez Hidalgo said in comments published Friday by the Venezuelan newspaper El Nacional.

"This will support the reserve units," Lopez Hidalgo was quoted as saying Thursday.

1. Could you imagine if every military aquistion in the US got as much media
attention as these 100,000 rifles!

The newspapers would be thicker than phone books!

I think these are going to become the most famous, most publicized rifles in the history of the world.
