Man arrested for alleged threats against Brooklyn judge
http://www.nydailynews.com/front/breaking_news/story/301413p-258033c.html

The FBI arrested a man on Tuesday after he allegedly threatened to kill a federal judge in Brooklyn "just like Atlanta" - an apparent reference to the slaying of a judge in that city last month.
Wazir Kahn, 19, of Queens, was ordered held without bail on charges alleging he threatened U.S. District Judge Raymond Dearie and made bomb threats.

"Threats to members of the bench will never be tolerated," U.S. Attorney Roslynn Mauskopf said in a statement announcing the arrest.

An investigation by the U.S. Marshals Service and FBI found that Kahn, in a recent series of anonymous phone calls and letters, "claimed he knew where the judge resided and threatened to kill him 'just like Atlanta'" for putting his brother behind bars, prosecutors said.

At other times, Kahn allegedly warned of a massacre at the federal courthouse in Brooklyn unless all cases during a nine-month period were dismissed. He also claimed he had smuggled a gun and bombs into the courthouse, and sent a letter to Dearie containing a white powder that turned out to be harmless, prosecutors said.

1. "Threats to members of the bench will never be tolerated?"
Then put out a warrant for DeLay's arrest, for goodness' sake - he'll never be able to set foot in NY again without getting cuffed.

2. It's obvious that the repukes are paying people to go after judges
now. this isn't just a coincidence, folks... sorry to state the obvious.

would love to see the dots publicly connected back to AWOL Bush for all these judge murders and attempted murders. but that'll take a new woodward & bernstein type team who are willing to take it on.

3. I don't think so

What's happening is a well established media phenomenon: Once a big story on a topic hits, all the minor stories on the same topic suddenly make the big news.

So, once a big story on, say, hot air balloon crashes hits, you're much more likely to see seven or eight similar stories that year. Are there usually ten hot air balloon crashes a year? Yes. Has anything changed? No. But the media suddenly starts playing otherwise unplayed stories because one of them hit. Media analysts have known about this phenomenon for years. Is there a sudden upsurge of threats against judges? I'd guess not. It's just a hot story since the Illinois and Atlanta incidents.

6. "Threats to members of the bench will never be tolerated,"

Unless, of course, your name is Tom Delay, or Sen. Cornyn...then the Justice Dept seems to have a real foot-dragging problem.
