Bob Kerrey: No Plans to Run for NYC Mayor

Former Nebraska Sen. Bob Kerrey said Tuesday he does not intend to run for mayor of New York City, ending a brief flirtation with the race that injected some excitement into the campaign.

"I am not running for the mayor of New York City, nor do I intend to be a candidate," the Democrat said in a statement.

He said he "seriously considered" running for mayor because he has deep concerns about the future of the city. He said he would continue to speak out on issues that concern New Yorkers.

1. I think he could have won.
I am not sure if any of the others can. I am not high on that race right now.

2. Too bad. No matter what his policies, you gotta respect
a guy who wins the Medal of Honor.

5. That would imply *sixteen years* of unbroken repuke control
of a city that has a 5- or 6-to-1 Dem registration edge.

Pathetic.

Oh, right, Bloomberg is a RINO, so that's OK. :sarcasm: He's such a RINO that he's dropping loads of ca$h on the RNC, not to mention lobbying to have the repuke-a-thon held in NYC last summer.

6. It's possible.
The dems have been so bad at competing for mayor. Dinkins fucked everything up so bad that people don't want to go back.
