US state studies tax on brothels
BBC

The US state of Nevada is considering a proposal to tax brothels that operate legally in several of its counties.

Nevada brothels currently pay taxes and fees to the local government but they do not give any revenues to the state.

A lobbyist for a brothel owners' group, which supports the taxation proposal, said they want the "privilege of participating" in the state tax system.

"I think it will give us some added acceptability," George Flint of the Nevada Brothel Association said.

fine, taxpaying citizens! i applaud this; about time for SOME government involvement/acceptance.

this business needs to be legitimized, and move from back alleys to clean, controlled, and SAFE establishments.

6. Nevada has deep libertarian traditions
"Red" does not necessarily mean conservative Republican.

Please allow your mind to be blown. Many such journeys are possible if you keep an open mind.
