Protesters throw eggs at Blair
A Labour rally at Oldham has seen Fathers 4 Justice protesters throw eggs at the prime minister.

Two men jumped from behind parked cars and threw eggs at the silver Range Rover Mr Blair was leaving the local civic centre in.

The pair have been arrested following the incident.

(snip)

Rory Wilmer, a member of the Liverpool branch of the Fathers For Justice group, said the pair decided to throw eggs at the Prime Minister's car because of the "Humpty Dumpty" legislation preventing fathers separated from their children having proper access.

One of the protesters arrested over the incident, Graham Wilson, is the Liverpool co-ordinator of the campaign.

1. During the foot-and-mouth crisis in 2001, he was pelted with tomatoes
I was over there at the time and saw him on the news, walking past a line of pissed-off farmers who threw tomatoes at him. His suit jacket was covered with tomato juice running down the back.

4. At least they report protests over in the UK...
Here it's all hush hush. :eyes:

Wonder what would happen here if the corporate media had shown all the protests around the country last month? A wake up call leading to Revolution, maybe?

11. yeah, but apparently he's gonna get re-elected
I heard that an election has been called for May , and that Blair is favored to win. Geez, their conservatives must be even worse than our cons, if a lying war-mongering * poodle can beat 'em.
