New York GOP Mounts National "STOP HILLARY" Effort
http://ap.tbo.com/ap/breaking/MGB76TGMD7E.html

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Claiming Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton is running for the White House, New York's GOP chairman has kicked off a national "STOP HILLARY NOW!" fund-raising effort to thwart her 2006 Senate re-election bid.

"Stopping Hillary Rodham Clinton is the most important thing you and I can do as Republicans in the next two years," says the fund-raising appeal sent out by Stephen Minarik. "You could say it's our duty as Republicans."

Minarik's fund-raising letter, dated Friday, promises a Republican "truth squad" that will "monitor Hillary's appearances and expose her lies."

While Minarik has sent out similar missives to New York Republicans, Friday's appeal - a copy of which was obtained by The Associated Press - is his first to the potentially more lucrative national anti-Clinton audience.

candidate like that Rick Nobodyremembershisname guy they ran against her in 02. That was the stupidest thing they could have done. For some reason the name Clinton makes the GOP do really stupid things.

However, Bloomberg has made a lot of enemies over the past few years and people here are still steaming over the RNC Convention and subsequent Gitmo on the Hudson, among other things.

I can't stand the guy. I'd vote for a knish over him.

7. Hating Clinton. It's all they have left.
Yes, we all knew it was the unifying theme: personal hatred for the people who interrupted the glory of the conservative spiral down the bowl.

But with the neocon invasion falling apart, the theocon juggernaut getting resistance, the tax cutters finding that the international bankers won't allow any more increases in the deficits, and Bush on a sixty day mission to lameduck land:

It's all there is left. An anti clinton fundraising letter. Pathetic.

22. Here's my dream!
Democrats take back the Senate decisively in 06; Hillary chooses not to run in 08, and the Democrats field a candidate that crushes the opposition.

Then, the new Democratic President APPOINTS HILLARY RODHAM to the SUPREME COURT.

I'd like to see it happen just to watch their heads spin.

19. They will try and flip Lieberman to get the Jewish vote. That is what
Rove did successfully in Texas. He flipped (sociopaths can easily flip somebodies thinking by force feeding them anxieties (from behind, up, down, the side, face to face, through a friend and a boss.. until the only relief is to change your thinking - et voila - all your fears are gone) two or three key Democratic Leaders in Texas and the 'flock' all followed.

Al Sharpton & Jesse Jackson would also be key people to flip.

So remember..do not attack our Democratic leaders (especially in the New York area). Goating us into attacking Lieberman or Sharpton will just up the pressure & anxiety on them. So we do not attack our own Democratic leaders.

Also..we do not allow ourselves to revolted by some 'thing' they are seen doing. We are sore and tired and in pain. But we cannot knee-jerk. When Liebermann votes with the pro-Israeli gang..that is understandable because he is being true to the security of his family. We have to use our empathy.

Likewise..if Al Sharpton is offered real money by some corporation to implement an anti-poverty scheme... don't feel disgust (like he is in bed with the enemy). Al Sharpton owes real help to his people. He is a minister. That is his job. And if some corporations shows up with bells on and gives him money.. well then he should take it.

Not only is the prize to defeat Hillary - who is our strongest Democratic Presidential chance (she tests very well among women, Democrats, African Americans, Hispanics, Arkansans, working people, & moderate Republicans,etc.). The prize is also to flip New York State. Then the GOP & Karl Rove will actually be in power for the next 20 years.

G.O.P. Consultant Weds His Male Partner

Published: April 9, 2005

ASHINGTON, April 8 - Arthur J. Finkelstein, a prominent Republican consultant who has directed a series of hard-edged political campaigns to elect conservatives in the United States and Israel over the last 25 years, said Friday that he had married his male partner in a civil ceremony at his home in Massachusetts.

44. Hillary faces obstacle to White House run
The Independent
By David Usborne in New York
12 April 2005

Hillary Clinton is in the political cross-hairs again as Republican leaders in New York mount an impassioned nationwide appeal to thwart her re-election to the US Senate next year, claiming she will use it as a stepping stone to the White House.

Fund-raising letters were on their way yesterday to prominent Republican supporters from the chairman of the New York Republican party, Stephen Minarik, asking them to join a "Stop Hillary Now" campaign.

It coincides with reports of a new book about her years in the White House and as a US senator that threatens to inflict serious political damage on her presidential prospects.

The book, The Truth about Hillary: What She Knew, When She Knew It, and How Far She'll Go to Become President, is due out in September. It is said to dig into the travails of Mrs Clinton during the scandal involving Monica Lewinsky and her husband, Bill, then president, and the legal assaults on him during his tenure in the White House.

46. You know, she could lose the seat and still run for pres in '08
Politicians are so stupid. Let the repukes screw up the district for 2 years and those that voted for 'em would vote for Hill in '08 out of disgust, so even if she losses, she still wins and has time on her hands to campaign.

(This is not an endorsement, I think she is too centralist, it is just my opinion regarding the "hunt for hillary" - what a waste, but they can spin their wheels and waste their dough.)

I refused to vote for John Kerry because of his support for the invasion and occupation of Iraq, and I'll refuse to vote for ANY dem in future elections who has given similar support. The only candidate who will get my vote in 2008 is one who unequivicably and unambiguously opposes the war in Iraq. Not luke warm "well, that isn't what I would have done," but clear and outspoken opposition-- and a plan for ending it ASAP.

53. Last I checked there was nothing illegal about using the Senate
as a staging ground to a Presidential run. Remember a guy by the name of John Kerry?

What this comes down to is they are REALLY worried and frightened that Hill will win, and the fact of the matter is, the vast majority of the smart American public probably welcomes The Clinton Years Part 2. The world was a much better place when they were in charge.
