15. Ah, but when Mexicans die you don't have to report
An American casualty, or report anything at all...one reason that the media is fed a list of deaths which is SO much shorter than the number who have REALLY been killed.

Well, our media lied about Iraq, lied about 9/11...and we have no future until we realize that our corporate media do nothing but lie anymore, and we should NEVER let the bogus "news" propaganda distract us from the truth that we can always we find, if we just sort through what's on the web, and what we can learn by talking to direct witnesses of the situations that concern us.

Whether we self-distruct in media induced self-delusion, or existentially work toward the truth that could save us, is entirely our individual responsibility, our own affair.

5. And as our kids keep on dying
The one thing I've found out is that Bush supporters do NOT want to talk about the Iraqi war, especially those with kids who have chosen not to go to Iraq.

10. I met one person who thought Syria...
was the destination of Saddam's WMD's. Remember Rumsfeld's declaration "Absence of proof is not proof of absence."! It is still nice to see so many people wising up to the Bush-Cheney regime.

11. Good signs.
If we had a functioning press in this country, perhaps it wouldn't have taken so long and so many casualties for the obvious to soak in.

Perhaps.

The day the US media ceases being a cheerleader for the nation's wars, we'll be able to test the hypothesis that an informed citizenry makes good choices...

13. Higher gas prices are hard to hide.
(Cheap) Oil is what this war was really about.
Oil has gotten more expensive since the war.
While not all of the increase in price can be
attributed to Iraq, Iraq's 'reconstruction' is not
"paying its way'.

18. Drip, drip
50% say they were deliberately mislead, 48% say they weren't. That's pretty unique for a president that has just been re-elected, to have half the people accusing him of lying them into war. People are waking up.
