Funeral Date announced For Pope
Edited on Mon Apr-04-05 06:22 AM by cal04
Pope John Paul II's funeral will be held in Rome on Friday at 9am BST.
The College of Cardinals agreed the date and time at a meeting in the Vatican this morning. As many as two million people are expected to bid farewell to the Pope this week after his body goes on public view.

The funeral of Pope John Paul II will be held at 10 a.m. (4 a.m. ET) Friday, Vatican sources told CNN. The officials also said the pope will be buried in St. Peter's Basilica. There had been speculation the Polish-born pope might have wanted to be laid to rest in his homeland. Monday's announcements came after the world's Roman Catholic cardinals met at the Vatican for the first time since the pope's death

2. And bu$hler's little "visit" will nake it ten times worse!
Can you imagine the hoops that Rome will have to jump through to accomodate the Little King's security demands? Let the Worthless Fuck stay home--just as all his predecessors have done!

3. Well, that conflicts with the Royal Wedding.........
So I won't be able to attend. The bush baby is going? He can't go to ONE funeral for our fallen soldiers, but he'll shuffle off to Rome to make some political brownie points with Catholics, huh? :eyes: That figures.

4. I believe Prince "I'm one ugly dude" Charlie said it might be postponed.
The wedding, that is. I won't be able to attend, either, as I have dinner plans that evening and even with the morning funeral, I doubt I could make it back in time.

5. wedding postponed
The Prince of Wales' wedding to Camilla Parker Bowles has been postponed until Saturday due to a clash with the Pope's funeral in Rome.

Announcing the change, Clarence House said Prince Charles would be attending the funeral mass in Rome on Friday.

It said the postponement was "a mark of respect" for the pontiff.
