U.S. Deaths in Iraq - 1,527 members of the U.S. military have died

As of Sunday, March 27, 2005, at least 1,527 members of the U.S. military have died since the beginning of the Iraq (news - web sites) war in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count. At least 1,164 died as a result of hostile action, according to the Defense Department. The figures include four military civilians.

The AP count is seven higher than the Defense Department's tally, last updated at 10 a.m. EST Friday.

7. I have heard it is in the 200+ range, at least.
I think that was an "up to time x" type figure, and only applied to some of the larger mercenary companies. Undoubtedly the figures are substantially higher, but I have never heard of any central compilation.

11. You are welcome but that doesn't really give the true cost
There have been over 10,000 wounded. And these wounds are not skinned knees. Many are coming back with their brains completely blown out of their skulls. The military leaves it up to the families to pull the plug when they return home. Its really pretty grim.

Both are HUNDREDS less than the actual count, soldiers who have died of their wounds at hospitals in Kuwait, Germany and in the USA.

the ONE person in florida who will be officially dead in a short time is of much more importance than the thousands upon thousands who have died and been injured because of this administration.
