About 100 Muslims deployed yesterday by the National Muslim Peace and Order Council (NMPOC) are helping guard from terrorist threats at least three big churches in Metro Manila for the Holy Week.

"We want to show our brother Christians that we are cooperating with the government in helping attain a peaceful and orderly observance of the Holy Week. As Muslims we respect their religious observances," said Ambiong, a former first lieutenant in the defunct Philippine Constabulary from 1978 to 1984 and a 30-year Manila resident.
