The Chinese government has isssued a stringent law warning the communist nation's nearly 1.5 lakh journalists in the state-run media of "stern punishments", if they published fabricated stories or accepted kickbacks, a report said on Wednesday.
Chinese reporters, found guilty of fabricating stories or taking bribes will face stern punishment, including confiscation of their press cards and a five-year ban, according to a provisional regulation on the management of journalists.
