it's possible to take one's cynicism, distrust and paranoia just a wee bit too far.

Unless you're being sarcastic, I'd like to suggest that the NEWS on this is real enough, and not planted or manufactured or staged, but that the cable news will, of course, milk it as long as they can. For example, as Bill Maher pointed out last night, the entire day's coverage on cable news yesterday was this Atlanta judge shooting and the day before was Michael Jackson's pajamas. They literally covered nothing else.
