http://www.swissinfo.org/sen/swissinfo.html?siteSect=143&sid=5583411JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - South Africa will exhume the graves of hundreds of anti-apartheid fighters to try to
solve their mysterious deaths and find clues to their killers, a senior government official says.
Hundreds of black activists were killed by apartheid-era security agents and buried in unmarked graves but many
families say they have no idea what exactly happened to their loved ones who simply vanished without a trace.
National Prosecuting Authority spokesman Makhosini Nkosi said his office would press charges where possible but
the main aim was to close a horrific chapter of South African history and allow families to bury their dead.
"The main objective is to close the case ... in order to bring some closure," he said on Monday. "If solving the case
means the body must be handed over to the family without prosecution, that's how it is."
