Sharon: Putin Says Syria Deal Is On
JERUSALEM -- Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said Tuesday he has been informed by President Vladimir Putin that Russia will go ahead with the sale of anti-aircraft missiles to Syria, despite Israel's misgivings.

Sharon said he was unhappy about Russia's decision. Israel fears that the missiles will reach militant groups in Lebanon.

"We are not pleased with the sales of weapons to Syria," Sharon told a news conference.

Sharon said Putin had promised him in a meeting more than two years ago that the missiles would not be sold to Syria. Sharon said he has not yet seen Putin's letter, received Tuesday, but said he understood that "they are going to sell that kind of weapon to the Syrians."

1. Looks like the Big Wigs are gearing up for WWIII
9/11 will go down as the harbinger for the clash of civilizations--if there are people still around to talk about it...

2. In addition to this, G.Brish
has recalled the US Envoy to Syria to plot some kind of sanctions to punish Syria for the act of terrorism. G.Brish seems to feel that he is the supreme authority of the whole globe. He has vowed to punish the responsible parties who killed his good friend. I really don't think it is any of our business at the point in time(maybe later) and G.Brish ought not be making threats until he fixes the US missile interceptor system.

6. Since when is Sharon a fundamentalist protestant christian?
If we were to wildly flail at the truth, one could argue that Bush desires Armageddon. But Sharon? You can disagree with and dislike someone without illogically lying about them.

9. Me too, but
I think we would agree that no war would be preferable.

7. Sharon is sweating heavily......
and so is Bush and the rest of his PNAC jackals. Putin has reassured Bush that he will be selling missiles to Iran and Syria.

This is not a secret, and it is not meant to be. This is a public display of "One-upmanship". Putin and probably China in the background are telling Bush that he'd better BACK OFF.

If they attack Iran, it's off with the gloves. This is a very necessary balancing of the powers. I'd say it's a dose of reality for the Lunatics in the White House.

And power is the only thing those Maniacs understand.

14. this $#!% makes me sick
I don't know about you, but I've felt Syria, has been up to it, to their , eyeballs since the beginning. That's the first place, any real weapons,of mass destruction, went. Any one that wanted to be saved and could afford to ran over there.
