I thought we liberated Samarra from anti-Iraqi forces in the fall! Don't you remember the purple fingers? Democracy in Iraq is a great thing!

http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/MAR418444.htm

BAGHDAD, Feb 14 (Reuters) - One U.S. soldier was killed and another was wounded in an attack on a military base in Iraq, the U.S. army said on Monday.

The attack occurred on Sunday at a base near Samarra, 100 km (60 miles) north of Baghdad, an army statement said. The death was a result of indirect fire, probably a mortar round.

Militants frequently fire mortars at U.S. bases but generally cause little damage.

4. You don't seem to understand.....
there are only a few remaining "holdouts" of Saddam's old regime. There's really only about 5 or 6 of them. They'll be gone shortly. Then we can all go vacation in Iraq because it will be a beautiful place to visit what with the devastation and destruction we've caused.

Our media has done us a great disservice by sanitizing everything. They think they're doing the right thing by covering up the colossal mess we've created and keeping the sheeple uninformed.

If it hit the base and killed and wounded people that was indirect? Wow! I wonder what direct fire would do?

6. You see leftchick...
The anti-Iraqi terrorist fired his shot poorly. It richocheted off of the top of a Humvee, then hit the soldier. Indirect. :eyes:
