Machinists Union Endorses Dean for DNC Chairman
Wednesday February 2, 9:18 am ET

WASHINGTON, Feb. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) today announced its support for former Vermont Governor Howard Dean to become Chairman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC).
"We believe Governor Dean can provide a strong voice for working Americans and union members," said IAM International President Tom Buffenbarger, a longtime DNC member. "He has the experience needed to run a large organization and the proven ability to raise the money and generate the momentum needed to revitalize the Democratic Party."

The IAM is one of the largest industrial unions in North America and represents nearly 380,000 active members under more than 4,500 separate agreements. For more information about the Machinists Union, go to the IAM website at http://www.goiam.org.

We'll see if there are more, but this probably sews it up. Finally a non-corporate leader of the party!

10. Machinists. UAW. Steelworkers. OMG, does my heart GOOD.
But unfortunately takes me back in time to the primaries. sniff

WHadya think, guys. Is this gonna happen? Sure lookin' like it. If the Party bigwigs try anything foolish at this point (and I've been worried about that), they are going to seriously alienate a LOT of folks. 'Course, that's never bothered them before, has it?

I LOVED the message from one (not this one): "we're tired of Republican-Lite solutsions" for our workers.

Yeeeeaaargh!
