US JOURNOS FARE WELL ON ETHICS TEST (USAT)
U.S. JOURNOS FARE WELL ON ETHICS TEST (USAT)

Despite widespread public opinion to the contrary, a new study finds that journalism is one of the most morally developed professions in the country, ranking behind only seminarians, physicians, and medical students.

(Obviously this study didn't include all those columnists and pundits on the GOP propaganda payola. Ask USA Today to do some FOIA requests and find out how ethical all those MSM journos really are!)

2. I wonder how much the Bush White House paid for these test results?

You just KNOW this whole "ethics in journalism" crap was bought and paid for at taxpayer expense.

3. They score well on a test = they are not ignorant of ethical consideration
so most are WILLFULLY unethical in practice. Hmmm, not a sterling commendation, is it?

4. They might want to be ethical
But they soon discover which side the butter is on. The dilemma may cause some of them a sleepless moment or two - thus the peculiar phenomenon of journalists who claim to be liberal but never seem to consistently support any (or very few) actual liberal positions (think Tweety). Journalism seems to really require some serious doublethink these days.
