1. Half of Bankruptcy Due to Medical Bills -- U.S. Study
Reuters

Wed Feb 2

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Half of all U.S. bankruptcies are caused by soaring medical bills and most people sent into debt by illness are middle-class workers with health insurance, researchers said on Wednesday.

The study, published in the journal Health Affairs, estimated that medical bankruptcies affect about 2 million Americans every year, if both debtors and their dependents, including about 700,000 children, are counted.

2. Yup, and it'll keep happening as long as the petite bourgousie remains
fixed on "gay marriage."

Get a clue, middle-class America.

3. Gee, I'm so glad we're moving toward personal medical insurance rather
than employer-provided. I'm sure that will help so much :eyes:

4. Oh, No, this is all wrong!
Any Person of Sense knows that the reason the bourgeois tries to file bancruptcy is their inability to stop buying toys when they run out of money.

That's why Bancruptcy Law needs to be "reformed", so the Finance Industry can go after these Good-Time Charlies who think they can party hearty and walk away from the bills...
<sarcasm>

My ex-wife was put into bancruptcy by un-insured medical bills for her kids. Sure, she was the Queen of the Dollar Store and Walmart sent her a Xmas card every year, but the re-hab bills that her ex disavowed are what did her in.

A house that I wasn't using 100 miles away that wouldn't sell is what killed me.

5. And the medical class must be proud!
While I was setting-up a piece of time tracking and billing software for a pediatrican yesterday, and he told me he never wanted to spend more than five minutes with any one child. WTF? I saw him spend less than 45 seconds with a child that had the flu and had a heart transplant in August. She was so weak she couldn't walk. He then billed her mother twice the going rate for a visit ($150) because of her condition. The asshole then bragged about how much money they (him and his brother who is her heart doctor) had made off of the little girl.

As long as immoral jerk-offs like that are the ones running health care, it's always going to be like that. That hate us peons. Never forget that.

6. The Bushies don't want us to know this.
But it makes sense, in their parallel world. Stick the under/middle class with huge tax burdens, but make it so they are likely to die early (via "health savings plans" instead of insurance) so they never collect any Social Security or Medicare benefits, or god forfend, end up in a nursing home on Medicaid.

They have it all figured out. Seniors who are not independently wealthy are expendable, on a prospective basis (i.e., the Bushies will make sure that their fate is sealed long before they are actually senior citizens). Will the American people catch on before it's too late?
