Congressman Richard Gephardt will participate in a presidential forum series hosted and moderated by Iowa Senator Tom Harkin at the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium in Dubuque, Iowa. Representative Gephardt will address Democratic caucus members

This was the fifth in a series of forums with leading Democratic presidential candidates being held across Iowa. Senator Tom Harkin was a 1992 Democratic presidential candidate, and is using funds from a political action committee to sponsor these town hall meetings. Iowa will host the first-in-the-nation presidential caucuses on Monday, January 19, 2004.

Lost all respect and dropped all support for this man (and it broke my heart) when he appeared in the rose garden following Bush into war upon Iraq.

I would like to give him another chance. Only because being his constituant since I've been able to vote, I am aware of the many great things this man has done over his career as my congressman.

"Real terror is having a child or parent with cancer and not having health insurance or the funds to pay for thier medical care- THAT'S real terror!"

Regardless of his chances he is sounding good. Speaking sence to many issues.

My favorite part though was one of the first off-mic comments after closing the meeting i can swear i heard him say- "...y'know, if WE did that?!? We'd be in jail!!!"

on edit: the quote is from a "personal" conversation in reply to a question or comment that was inaudible...
