NYT CIA Heads andTenet To Blame for 9/11
Edited on Fri Jan-07-05 11:14 PM by rsmith6621
"SHINGTON, Jan. 6 - An internal investigation by the Central Intelligence Agency has concluded that officials who served at the highest levels of the agency should be held accountable for failing to allocate adequate resources to combating terrorism before the Sept. 11 attacks, according to current and former intelligence officials."

"he findings, which are still classified, pose a quandary for the C.I.A. and the administration, particularly since President Bush awarded a Medal of Freedom to Mr. Tenet last month. It is not clear whether either the agency or the White House has the appetite to reprimand Mr. Tenet, Mr. Pavitt or others."

3. This "internal investigation," was it done before or after the purge?
It's all a lie, anyway, so what difference does it make

7. The original was done before Tenet left
It was no doubt changed after Goss came in. I read the first report blamed Condi in large measure.

4. Bush is to blame for 9-11. I think directly, but indirectly through
negligance if you prefer. Many, many warnings were given and he ignored them all so he could get his oil wars on.

9. That's because the PDB was not in pictures.
Chimp can't read and besides all that, he was on vacation and couldn't be bothered.

10. Or for Rice, or Cheney, or Rumsfeld, or Wolfowitz, or Asskroft, etc.
The National Security Advisor's office has ultimate responsibility for anything the CIA does or doesn't accomplish.

Another worthless whitewash article.

11. Tenet to blame for 911
Then Bush gives him a medal. This actually makes sense, if you think about it from a certain point of view...

The subject line does not match the article's headline.
